Model Farm – Golden Hill Farm

The first project of the company is the setting up of a model farm. The farm is set up in about 70 cents of land. The farm has 40 HF cows sourced from different places, 1000 BV 380 hens, 25 goats and 20 buffalos. Arrangements have also been made to cultivate fodder in 2 acres of land leased by the company.

The milk from the farm will be used in the dairy plant. The eggs will be sold as such in the market. Studies are being undertaken to process eggs for value addition.

Golden Hill Fertilizer Unit

A biogas plant has been set up. The gas generated from the system is being used for the cooking purpose in the staff quarters of the farm. The slurry in the biogas plant is used in the fodder farm and the surplus, if any will be sold to the farmers to be used as fertilizer.

To process cow dung and others a fertilizer processing unit is being set up. Powdered cow dung, crop specific fertilizers etc will be processed here.

Golden Hill Dairy

This dairy is set up with the objective of collecting milk from the farmers in the surrounding areas. Process it, do necessary value addition and sell in the market at reasonable price. The plant has facility to process 10,000 liters of milk per day. There is also facility for the manufacture of Curd, Butter milk and Ghee.

Golden Hill Coconut Processing Unit

The raw coconut from the farmers will be collected. Collection will also be done from other areas where coconut is available. A copra drier unit has been setup for the drying of coconut. The company has also put up an oil extraction unit which has capacity to process 1MT of copra per day. Coconut oil will be sold by the company under the brand GOLDEN HILL.

The coconut oil cake generated out of the process will used for the manufacture of cattle feed. Other ingredients required for the manufacture of cattle feed will be procured locally. Cattle feed manufactured will used in the farm and the surplus will be sold at subsidized rates to the member farmers.
